The Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton is a 234-room hotel located at 5-10 Great Tower Street. Dominus and Studio Moren took a retrofit-first approach project retains 100% of the substructure and 70% of the superstructure to sensitively transform the former office building and bank into an iconic lifestyle hotel. The hotel’s name, inspired by the iconic bowler hat known as a “Derby”, pays tribute to a symbol of British style, its location in the Square Mile and the building’s history as a bank. On the ground floor is Rycrofte’s Restaurant, Coffeehouse and Bar. The all-day British dining concept is inspired by Sir John Rycrofte, Sergeant of the Larder to Henry VII and Henry VIII, and offers views of the neighbouring St Dunstan in the East Church Gardens.

With the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral within walking distance, and eight London Underground stations nearby, the hotel is positioned to appeal to both business and leisure travellers.
