The Derby London City will see a 20th-century office building on Great Tower Street transformed into a 234-room Hilton Curio hotel. The project retains 100% of the substructure and 70% of the superstructure, significantly reducing lifecycle carbon while preserving the building’s character.

Targeting BREEAM Excellent, the scheme incorporates energy-efficient plant systems, an upgraded building envelope, and on-site renewable energy. At street level, the hotel will open up new spaces for the community and strengthen the connection to St Dunstan in the East Church Gardens.

Historic bank features, including original vault doors, are being carefully integrated into the design, blending heritage with contemporary hospitality.
